Floral Refrains

I have always felt that art is music you see with your eyes, and flowers have melody all their own.
Join me behind the scenes of “Amanda” as the chorus is assembled, the singers take their places, and the song emerges.
This piece is part of my Floral Refrains collection. I am constantly inspired by music and I connected each piece from this series with its own song. Both originals and prints are available for purchase.
The underpainting is one of my favorite parts of the creation process.
Flowers begin to emerge, some asserting themselves as soloists, some content to support.
Each bloom settles into place and begins to unfurl. I can hear the notes as they warm up.
Finally, the chorus of flowers burst into song, harmonious and lovely.
